The African Pulse provides a media package of educational tools that are specifically aligned to the Life Orientation curriculum for students between the ages of 8 and 14. The African Pulse hopes that the content and style of its resources will lead to introduction of HIV & AIDS related issues into other learning areas.
The African Pulse resources and tools include:
- Feroza’s Story: a CD-ROM, comic book, video and support materials, which present a series of animated stories, games and other children’s activities suitable for the classroom.
The resources have been developed to further student and teacher/facilitator interaction and use the principles of outcome-based education.
