Outcomes

Through its work, The African Pulse has:

• reached 8,000 children and over 150 teachers and facilitators;
• improved interaction and relationships between facilitators and the students they wish to reach;
• created an environment where children feel less threatened and can share their anxieties and experiences;
• equipped teachers with a tool to re-engage the children in the topic, as they are more focussed and attentive when using the Feroza package;
• improved knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDs amongst teachers and children through training and more effective delivery of information through the innovative educational materials we have developed.
